Meet Wrap Up + News

Hey Otter Families!

Brianna sent out the message yesterday with the great news that we took the WIN over the Woodlands Riptides! It was another close one! 729 to 712 was the final score -- that means that every swim was imperative to the win! Along with the victory, we had lots to celebrate at yesterday's meet -- silent auction success, grads, great things for the Otters! Congrats, all!

Here are a few more details from yesterday's meet & some news for the coming week regarding meet entry.

Results -- are attached to this email and have been added to the website under Swim Meets > Results, which you can see once you are logged in.

Records -- Some fast swims yesterday contributed to some new pool and team records. Congrats to Cason, Karson, and Jaden! Here are the details!

Cason S set the Pool Record and Team Record in the 6U Boys 25 Free by beating his previous best time with 16.69!

Karson O is now our Pool Record Holder in the 15-18 Mens IM with a time of 55.17. He just inched out his brother's record from last year.

Jaden O beat her own time in the 15-18 Women 50 Free with a new time of 25.2, a new Pool Record. For the 50 Breast, she broke a previous Pool Record that had been in place since 1994! Her time, 32.41 is now our Pool and Team Record. And lastly for Jaden, her 50 Fly time of 27.00 is our new Pool Record, beating her own previous time and record. Congratulations to Jade for ALL THREE of her individual event times yesterday going down in the record books!

Next Week's Meet -- Declaration is open for next Saturday's meet. We are the visiting team at Northampton Cudas (99 and Gosling area). This will be a fun and well-run swim meet! Declaration closes Wednesday at 8pm. All jobs available to sign up for this coming week will be ready at 8pm. This includes next week's meet, concessions for this week's practices, and any help needed at our fun team events this week.

We have swimmers today and tomorrow at Sprint Sizzler -- Best of luck to them!

FUN this week! Don't forget about Swim Along Wednesday Morning and Team Skate Night @ PBR Wednesday Evening!

ALSO -- and this is important! Did you know swim season doesn't have to end with Divisionals on 6/13? Invitational Meets are an exciting way to wrap up the season! We will participate at either the Trinity Classic or Ponderosa Invitational; whichever one your swimmer qualifies for! Both are now open for declaration on the website and are due on Saturday, June 13th at 8pm. This allows for swims up until the Divisional Swim Meet to help qualify for either of these meets! All info for both of these invitational meets is on the website under Schedule > Meet. Both Invitational Meet Announcements are also attached to this email.

Trick: Want to know if your swimmer qualifies? You can go into declaration. If the event is not greyed out, they can swim it!

Have a great rest of your weekend, everyone! See you at the pool!
